ROWAN [she/her]
[song: touch tone telephone by lemon demon]
Rowan is the main character of the story, and a self-identified teenage investigator. Her goal is to look into mysteries that nobody else seems to take seriously, and the main reason that she's enrolled in the city's theater school is because there's a case- in her words- based in this city, that's far too compelling and ignored to pass up. It supposedly has something to do with the Sunnyside Theater...
Deep down, the reason why she's so passionate about solving mysteries stems from a deep desire to be taken seriously. She feels like she's always one step away from people actually acknowledging her, and they won't be able to brush her off anymore once they finally see that she's right. That's also why she goes for the mysteries that nobody talks about- she hopes to give a voice to the people without one, to actually make a difference in a situation that may seem hopeless.
Rowan tends to take things very seriously a lot of the time, to the point that she doesn't have many connections, mostly because she's too focused on her work and also because she tends to snap at people when they annoy her. Being friends with Ceru makes her realize that she doesn't have to care so much about small things, and she gradually begins to see things in a more positive light because of it.
Rowan is a trans girl. I don't really have any other things in mind for her label-wise though
